Geese vs. Trout

Did you think that Saturday could not have possibly been more exciting? Wrong! After the Jarcy Experience, we made a short drive up to beautiful historic Bellefonte. I wish we had more time to explore the area but we didn't so we stuck mainly to the park.

The small river was chock full of these enormous yellow trout that seemed ravenously hungry.

Luckily for us, the township of Bellefonte had installed a machine that dispensed little brown pellets to feed the wildlife for a quarter. I bought two helpings and it was definitely worth the fifty cents.

Travis threatened to eat a pellet. You don't think he'll do it? Do you think he's playing?!?!?

He also wondered who would win a battle of the species between the Canada Geese and the monster trout.

Feeding from the bridge.

Ew, ew, ew. I got up from leaning over the bridge and got a headful of trapped web insects. Yuck.

Contrary to the fish, these ducks seemed only mildly interested in food. I think the people who were at the bench beforehand overfed them.

Ah, beautiful Bellefonte.
