Saturday Work
I don't know why, but this past week was some slow goings. I was hoping to sleep in a little this morning but Steve wanted me to work from 8 until 11:30, so that didn't happen. I'll probably get to sleep early tonight because I'm too wild for my own good.
There was quite the flurry of activity yesterday - Travis and I dined at a luxury establishment by the Capitol as part of a mystery shop and were waited upon by this guy who was doting to the point of annoyance. He refilled the water glasses when they were only two inches low, scooped the crumbs off of the table with this cute little brush, and folded Travis's towel after he got up to use the restroom. It was almost hard to have a conversation because he kept swooping in for something or another.
After that, I went to work for two hours or so and then took a bus to Travis's place of business and helped open mail. I took a ton of books home and regretted it later because they were so heavy.
PS: My allergies are killing me. I go around wearing this weird pre-sneeze face all day. It's not attractive.
All and all, the move went well. We took a taxi to Adams Morgan and I guarded the luggage while Travis took some things up to the hostel. It took forever to get all of his things upstairs and I was so disgustingly dirty I took a shower and pretty much went right to bed.
Ew, someone is making something in the kitchen that smells like Hamburger Helper, which I usually enjoy but in the morning hours is not delicious.
I have been TypeRacing like crazy lately. My highest score was 94 words per minute, which I am pretty sure was a fluke and unlikely to happen again. I seem to hover around 77 wpm. Oh, it's so fun.Update: 97 wpm! Beat it! I dare you! I know that someone is going to eliminate my score in like, two minutes so here's a record of the glory.
108 words per minute! I should do this professionally.
