Moving Adventures

It's Sunday, and everyone knows that this is the only time I have to craft a wonderful blog entry. Here goes...

I've been trying so, so hard to break myself of my bad nail habits, and I think they've been looking nice lately.

After the Maryland Department of Education conference on Thursday, Queshia and I stopped by this thrift store called Out of the Closet or From the Closet or something. I saw this frilly, long-sleeved nightie that looked like something that a prudish Amish woman might wear.

The best tag in the world.

We were stopped in traffic right in front of this restaurant. I think I'm gonna pass on this one...

Then, we went to Value Village and found this objet d'art especially hilarious. I don't know what is funnier - the fact that someone actually had this in their house once, or that VV was asking two hundred and fifty bucks for it.

Travis and I had the disgusting, sweaty experience of moving all of his stuff from Capitol Hill to Adams Morgan over the course of two days.

This nasty bug was under a bunch of clothes in the corner of his room.

It took forever. I was getting incredibly winky once everything was all stashed in the laundry room and it looked as if it would never fit. That plus killer allergies made everything I said into a giant whine. However, a quick (just kidding) run to Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond fixed that and now the room actually looks more spacious than before, believe it or not.

Hugo is lost, oh no! Let's look at the facts: jumped out of third floor window, unfamiliar with the neighborhood, not wearing a collar. I say odds are near 100% that this cat gets home safe and sound.

The Pizza Hut at Target never has what I want to order, so the lady working the counter gave me a free cookie.

Since I take requests, here is a video of the Target cartscelator from the POV of the cart. There's even a gratuitous grumpy shot of me at the end that makes it worth watching.

These stackable crates were actually really hard to put together.

Ahhh.... everything put away.

Drinks time! Travis had the good idea to buy lemonade bottles and put them in the freezer so that we had slushie rum concoctions. They didn't really slush as well as they could have but we can try again. We played a game of chess and I won, but it was a very close game. I think a rematch is in order.
