Muffins

I don't think it's possible for me to create any more negative publicity for getuseless.net, but yesterday we had a scheduled maintenance call at 4:00 and we hustled home to make sure that we were around when they showed up because how horrible would it be to have to wait even longer? It's pretty horrible. By the time we got there, Ariel spotted a note on the door saying "Sorry we missed you! We were here at 2:30 today." What? They can't just show up an hour and a half early and then skedaddle! They called me at 9:30 this morning and promised to be at the apartment by 4:00 today. Yeah, right.

In good news, I was able to add both my English and CAS classes, even getting the section I wanted. Bad news: my adviser was like, "oh hey, you have to take this Other Cultures class with really specific requirements so you can't just yank a study abroad class and throw it in." Now I have to get rid of Chinese and add stupid Intro to Asian Literature. Stupid.

Wow, I sound really negative and stressed. I am kind of tense, but I've been really liking my classes and my apartment. I tried to make blueberry muffins while cooking up a vegetable protein hot dog, and obviously my mind was elsewhere because first I added a whole cup of water when all I needed was a half cup, thus requiring me to open a second packet of mix. Then, when I was scavenging the cupboards I realized that I don't have a muffin tin although I swear I've bought like four in the last two years. I improvised and used a cake pan and dizamn! Tasty blueberry loaf! It's almost gone now.
