Moving, Easter, Disorganized, Busy

Hello, all. I've been working 7 days a week for the past three months and my brain is getting gelatinous. Luckily for you and for posterity, I have been taking a lot more pictures lately.

I mentioned the eviction, right? Well right now my apartment is a hodgepodgey mess of unformed boxes and things that are destined for the giveaway pile [ye cometh from the stoop, and to the stoop ye shall return]. And while I can whittle my clothing down considerably, I gotta wear something, people. Can't be nude. So there are some key things that cannot be packed yet and are distracting me on my packing journey.

We had some terrifically ugly plates and dishes that I find it hard to get rid of.

How can you throw away a gem like this?

What if Bob comes back? Better hold on to it!

I'm getting all the use out of those heart-shaped glasses that I can muster!

And yes, it is beautiful and springy and lovely outside, but I can't focus on that when there is an INFESTATION of mice and some weird beetle in our kitchen.

Poor Daniel is already a victim. Goodbye, flour tortillas.

He then put on my glasses in his best Mark impression. Not bad!

Kinky! Heh.

It's that time of the year where I simply must take pictures of every single flower that I encounter. It's like a compulsion.

These were in Bryant Park, where I am on Thursdays for my NYPL work. Last Thursday it was incredibly beautiful outside so I hung out in the park for awhile until the concrete started to burn the backs of my legs.

Look at all these people enjoying life!

Why wasn't the lawn open???? It would have been nice to romp in.

Mark and I made a date to meet up in Central Park that evening and participate in some physical activity. I gave him my NY women's basketball frisbee that Daniel didn't want and we went to town. He's much better at frisbee than I am, but it was fun.

Activity!

This might be TMI, but Mark sustained a grievous hula hoop injury when in Indianapolis. How does that even happen? How hard do you have to hoop before bruises appear?

We took the train down to Hamilton, NJ for Easter Saturday. There was dip available [diiiiiiiip!] so I kind of pigged out before dinner and wasn't as hungry as I could have been. But, dip! How can you refuse. I think Mark had to move it to the other end of the table at one point.

Mark and his mom enjoyed a lovely stroll down memory lane.

Old timey pictures! I didn't realize that photography was around that long ago. Is this a daguerreotype?

Baby's getting big! She's starting to make faces that could be interpreted in the right light and angle as a smile.

Paul holding Elisabeth like a football. Elisabeth is drooling.

She had to get changed because she pooped all over her cute onesie.

Dinner time!! I wish I hadn't eaten all that dip. Well, that's not true. I wish I had a more expandable stomach (well, that's not true either. The consequences would be dire).

Mm!

Brisket! My ties here are tenuous - me to Mark, Mark to Heather [sister], Heather to Paul [married], Paul to his brother [name forgotten], brother to wife [this girl here who may or may not be Laura]. Anyway, she is super nice and loves brisket.

Mark and I between courses.

Ellie is a napaholic. She has my ideal life, in baby form.

Heather wanted a picture of her and Mark together.

So no, she was not choking and in need of the Heimlich maneuver.

This may not be the best pose for the family portrait.

I may have been about to burst, but there will always be room for cake.

Waiting for the train to arrive.

Adorable.

Heh, Mark was caught unawares. We managed to snag the four-person slidey seat BOTH TIMES, because we're lucky ducks.
