DUMBO Washout

It's only 6:30 PM yet it's completely dark outside. When did this happen? When I left work the other day it was still light! Seasons!

There was this guy on the subway shilling for donations for some animal rescue shelter and he was carrying around a Real Live Cat who was so adorable and didn't seem to mind being on a busy, loud train. I wish he would have offered the cat up for adoption because there's no way that I could have said no. I want cats.

Daniel and I went down to Brooklyn today for some photography walking tour only to have it rained out (which was crappy even more so because by the time it would have started the rain had stopped). He had to get scarves and winter accessories so we stopped by Herald Square so that he could go to H&M and Macy's while I just waited outside and called people. I almost got hit by a flock of sparrows.

I might take a nap right now since there's this party at our former neighbor's new place and it starts at 8:00, but I don't want to go until 9:00 because Suzy has to work tonight and she won't be there until later. I need to contact her soon so we can coordinate laundry cycles. Her building has $1.00 washing and drying, which is great compared to $3.75 or however much the laundromat around the corner charges.

All right; I am never one to turn down a nap so here goes...

You deserve a Medal of Honor for braving Herald Square on a Saturday. The first floor of Macy's makes me want to commit seppuku at the best of times.
