Devolving

I just hung up the phone after saying "Good luck, and Godspeed to you!" with an incredible level of snark. This hostel job is making a bitter and sarcastic receptionist of me. I can only partly excuse my behavior by describing my work schedule of late:

Saturday: 8:00 AM until 3:30 PM.
Sunday: 8:00 AM until 11:00 PM.
Monday: 8:00 AM until 8:35 AM. Then psychologist. Then ACE.
Tuesday: 8:00 AM until 8:35 AM. Then ACE. Then hostel 5:30 PM until 11:00 PM.
Wednesday: 8:00 AM until 8:35 AM, ACE in later morning, psychologist from 3:00 until 8:00.
Thursday: 8:00 AM until 8:35 AM. ACE. Hostel 5:30 PM until 11:00 PM.
Friday: 8:00 AM until 8:35 AM. Psychologist at 9:00. Then ACE. Hostel 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM.
Saturday: 8:00 AM until 3:30 PM.
Sunday: 8:00 AM until 11:00 PM.

And the beat goes on.

Buuuut... I did get a rave review on a hostel review site, with one lad saying "Great location, honestly the best place to stay in DC if you're young. The staff was great and stayed up for me even through I missed my check-in time, and the price was great. All and all a great hostel and I'd stay there again".

I was the staff. And I was great! And he did indeed miss his check-in time.

So Myron Cope died, which didn't come as that big of a surprise because I thought he was already dead. I never listened to him on the radio but his voice still resonates through my brain, screetching "IT'S THE my-RON COPE kiel-BASA SUB! THEY na-MED IT af-TER MEE!!!". Then I recall that crazy dance he did, which Arienne mastered in a short time because she was the one in the family with the physical acuity.

Oh, what luck! I found the pasta equivalent of a wishbone but I shall not break it, oh no. It's hanging on the blinds cord next to my bed.
